National Recognition For UCLan Neuroscience Graduate

Kate Clark, who graduated from UCLan with a BSc(Hons) Neuroscience in 2011, won the British Neuroscience Association undergraduate project prize for her third year project which involved the  use of yeast as a metabolic model for the study of cancer therapeutics.

The research of a neuroscience graduate from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) has received national acclaim from the British Neuroscience Association (BNA).

Each year, the BNA awards an undergraduate prize worth £250 to students considered to have made a significant contribution to neuroscience and to have achieved an outstanding performance in either their final examinations or in their viva voce respectively.

Kate received her award at the BNA’s Christmas symposium on Wednesday, 14 December, held at the Royal Society, London and attended by eminent neuroscientists across the UK.
